Every year the Summer Solstice is celebrated at Mirramu with dancing, food and conviviality. Sometimes Elizabeth holds a large public event and sometimes there is a quieter celebration.This year there was a small private party. Mirramu was looking splendid after lots of hard work by Matthieu and Elizabeth on the grounds, there’s more water in the Lake than there’s been for a very long time and the recent rains have made everything very green and lush. Elizabeth reflected on the importance of caring for the Earth, and paid her respects to the traditional owners past and present of the land at Mirramu and its surrounding bushland.
